Warm Plasma

Plasma is the fourth state of matter, an ionized gas found abundantly in the universe, including in stars like our sun, along with solids, liquids and gases. When a neutral gas is heated and some of the electrons are freed from the atoms or molecules, it changes state and becomes a Plasma energy! Fusion Plasma Pro harnesses this natural energy using patented technology and controlled charges to deliver targeted plasma flashes that stimulate skin renewal at the cellular level.

Warm plasma treatment

Fusion warm plasma treatment is a non invasive cosmetic procedure operating at controlled temperatures (typically 120°C to 400°C) to stimulate collagen production, tighten skin, and improve texture with less downtime. This mode uses a high energy argon plasma arc. It hovers over the skin surface and creates controlled micro injury in the outer layers of the skin to lift away damaged cells and trigger fibroblast activity within the dermis. This process rebuilds collagen and elastin production and dermal remodelling through controlled micro damage, resulting in visible skin tightening, lifting, and revitalisation. Collagen and Elastin remodelling continues for the next 12 weeks.

Warm Plasma (Fibroblast)

1 to 3 hours, depending on the areas treated · Priced by area, see the menu below

Anaesthetic cream goes on first and takes around half an hour to work. The plasma pen is then held about 1 to 2mm above the skin, so it barely touches it. At each point of contact a small carbon dot forms, the collagen fibres there lose water and contract, and loose skin tightens on the spot.

The plasma effect then stimulates the skin's own regeneration. Micro circulation and the metabolic process step up, and new collagen and elastin are produced in the treated area for up to 3 months.

Perfect for: Upper and lower eyelids, forehead lines, frown lines, crows feet, nasolabial folds, marionette lines, top lip and smokers lines, chin, jowls, cheeks, neck, stretch marks and the stomach. Skin tags and moles can be treated once a doctor has cleared them.

  • Stimulates collagen and elastin for firmer, tighter skin
  • Refines pores, lines and uneven texture
  • Reduces pigmentation, age spots and sun damage
  • Improves acne scarring and skin irregularities
  • Smooths stretch marks and mild laxity
  • Enhances skin clarity, tone and radiance.
  • Deep, targeted skin stimulation with long lasting results (up to 2 to 3 years)
  • Natural alternative to invasive surgical procedures.
  • On average, clients experience up to 20% reduction in skin laxity per treatment
  • Destroys bacteria, remodels scars.

Redness and swelling for the first day or two, most noticeably on the upper and lower eyelids, which are the most sensitive areas and can take 2 to 3 days to settle. Small carbon dots crust over and flake away after about 5 to 7 days, leaving fresh pink skin underneath. The area keeps improving for a couple of months.

Even though Fibroblast offers less downtime than surgery there is still a healing process with certain things to expect post treatment.

  • Straight after the treatment your skin will feel warm and you will see small carbon spots on the area of skin treated. You may use Aloe gel, aftercare cream or Burn aid to sooth and stop itching.
  • Day 1 to 3 (the day after the treatment) your skin will feel tender, very warm and skin will be red. Scabs will appear darker. If you have had the treatment on your Eye Lids or Under Eyes expect quite a bit of swelling. Sleep raised on pillow to help swelling. The amount of swelling varies from person to person. Some clients swell up more then others. This is normal and lasts 2 to 4 days. Occasionally vision can be a little difficult due to swelling so we advise taking the first 2 or 3 days off work. You may use a cold compress, apply healing cream as instructed.
  • Day 3 to 5. Swelling and redness should be gone. As the days progress scabs will appear darker like freckles as they heal, they will be dry and flakey and will naturally fall off after 5 to 10 days. Do not wash, exfoliate and keep skin dry. Only use healing gel as instructed. DO NOT PICK or you may cause scars. Do not use any other topicals unless advised.
  • Day 7 to 9. You can start to use a gentle cleanser. No harsh skin care, exfoliators. Gentle moisturizer to help skin heal.
  • A mineral foundation can be worn if needed to help camouflage scabs however keep in mind you cannot wash the area that has been treated until scabs have fallen off so foundation cannot be cleansed off.
  • You MUST adhere to the practitioner's aftercare advice given to you following the treatment. This is very important and will reduce the risk of post procedural infection upon leaving the clinic. You must let the treated area heal properly. Avoid picking or rubbing the area could effect the healing process. Do not use any other cream on the area.
  • If you have had botox or injectable fillers the treatment should not be carried out until 2 weeks after.
  • It is very important to be consistent with sun protection! For your safety you should avoid sunbathing and solariums for at least 3 months, as hyper or hypo pigmentation can occur.

It is not suitable if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, have a darker Fitzpatrick skin type, have a history of keloid or hypertrophic scarring, have an active skin infection, rash or severe skin condition in the area, have a pacemaker or another electronic implant, are undergoing chemotherapy or radiation therapy, have a history of severe allergic reaction to topical anaesthetic, or have recently had another treatment in the same area. Your consultation covers all of this before anything is booked.

Between 1 and 3 hours depending on the areas treated, including around half an hour for the topical anaesthetic to take effect.

Avoid sun exposure and tanning for two weeks beforehand, and stop retinoids, exfoliants and other harsh products a week before. Avoid alcohol and smoking for at least 24 hours before, and drink plenty of water. Tell us about any medication or allergies at your consultation, and speak to your doctor before stopping anything you have been prescribed.

Anaesthetic cream is applied first. Each point feels like a mild zap, and the skin contracts straight away. The area is cooled immediately afterwards so heat does not spread into the surrounding tissue, the skin is disinfected, and you go home with an aftercare pack and lotion.

The tightening is immediate, and the skin feels tight and dry at first. New collagen and skin renewal keep working on the area from around 5 days out to 12 weeks.

Deborah's guide is up to 2 to 3 years. How long it holds depends on your skin, your age and how you look after it.

One or two sessions for most areas, depending on how much loose skin there is and how much tightening you want. Sessions are spaced around 6 weeks apart.
